Our surf trips are specially designed for our intermediate and advanced students in search of the perfect break. Whether it's sand bottom rights or deserted point breaks, we'll take you to some of our favourite breaks and secret spots in Oaxaca. Our full-day surf trips include transportation to and from remote breaks, as well as morning and afternoon surf sessions with Roger Ramirez as your surf guide.
Playa San Diego is a beautiful, secluded surf spot roughly 3.5 hours away from Puerto Escondido. With a difficult to access location that requires 4-wheel drive, this beach offers a long righthand point break set in a magical, natural environment away from any crowds. This spot is ideal for intermediate and advanced surfers, although with a small swell, beginners can enjoy this break as well.
The waves at Playa San Diego are fickle and highly dependent on the right swell, wind, and tide combination, but thanks to our experienced team of local surf guides, Oasis will take you only when the conditions are ideal and suit your level of surfing.

SINGLE DAY TRIP DETAILS
The day trip includes transportation, board rental, and two surf lessons - one in the morning and a second session in the afternoon.

2-DAY TRIP DETAILS
The two-day trip includes transportation, board rental, 2 full meals (dinner on day 1 and breakfast on day 2), three surf lessons (two on the day of arrival, and a third on day 2), tent accommodation for camping on the beach, and drinking water. Other snacks and drinks are not included, but can be picked up along the way. The night of the camp there will be a bonfire on the beach and coaching/ feedback provided to each person about the surf sessions of the day.

Barra de la cruz
ABOUT THE BREAK
This sand bottom, right point break is on many pro surfers' list of waves to ride before they die. When the conditions are right, Barra de la Cruz makes for unforgettable days that will leave you smiling ear to ear.
Barra de la Cruz is an idyllic surf spot that once hosted one of the most successful professional surfing events of all time. The stunning beach is surrounded by a lush, pristine natural environment and the wave itself is a perfect, righthand point break that can be enjoyed by various levels of surfers from beginner to advanced, depending on the swell size. Directly on the beach, there is a restaurant serving up fresh fish and lots of other delicious dishes and cold drinks that you can enjoy in the shade of the palapa while watching the waves.

LA GRAVA
ABOUT THE BREAK
Located roughly half an hour outside of Puerto Escondido, this spot is perfect for a half-day trip to get away from the crowds. La Grava is a reef break that has both a left and a right peak breaking over a rocky bottom. The topography of the beach, combined with the depth of the water and presence of large rocks make this a suitable location for primarily small swell days (unless you are an advanced surfer). You will enjoy the tranquility and solitude of this spot and the beautiful natural environment; it's a great option for a change of pace from the popular beaches in town.
Half-DAY TRIP DETAILS
The half-day trip includes transportation and equipment, a shade to relax on the beach away from the sun, drinking water and one surf lesson.

RESERVE ONLINE
Fill out the form and our staff will confirm booking and coordinate your surf trip. A minimum of six people are needed for the trip to depart.
If you are enrolling in one of our other programs, you can also book a surf trip at the same time and we will add it to the total cost of your package. A 20% deposit will be required to reserve and confirm your space. If the surf trip is not possible due to conditions or lack of participants, your deposit will be returned to you in full.
